10/5 -Josh Gordon activated from the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad, will be able to play on Sunday night vs Buffalo.

The Chiefs have signed WR Josh Gordon to their active roster ahead of Sunday night’s game versus the Buffalo Bills. Gordon was recently reinstated to play after he was previously suspended for breaking the NFL’s substance abuse policy. The Chiefs hope that Gordon will prove to be another threat in the well oiled machine known as the Chiefs offense.

10/5 -The Dallas Cowboys release LB Jaylon Smith.

This move may come as a shock to many fans, but the Cowboys brass have been impressed with the play of former Atlanta Falcons safety, now converted linebacker, Keanu Neal, and of course the play of rookie Micah Parsons. There will be many teams interested in Smith, so he shouldn’t have to wait for too long before finding another team.

10/6 -The Carolina Panthers trade for former DPOY Stephon Gilmore

Trade Details: Carolina receives: CB Stephon Gilmore

New England receives: 2023 6th round pick

After losing 8th overall pick Jaycee Horn, the Carolina Panthers have now traded for 2 different cornerbacks to boost their secondary in an already impressive defense. Last week, the Panthers sent TE Dan Arnold to the Jaguars in exchange for C.J. Henderson, and now they send a 6th rounder to the Patriots for Gilmore. Despite a recent string of injuries that have plagued Gilmore, when healthy he can still be one of the league’s best corners. This trade will surely help Carolina, who now adds another defensive weapon to their arsenal, and should provide great teaching for young Henderson.

10/6 -Chicago Bears name Justin Fields the starting QB

Bears fans are celebrating in the streets of the Windy City after hearing the news that rookie QB Justin Fields will comfortably hold the starting reins moving forward. After weeks of hearing HC Matt Nagy preach that Andy Dalton is their starter, the Bears front office/coaching staff finally did what they should’ve done weeks ago. Fields showed improvement in his 2nd start, against the Detroit Lions, and should continue to grow as the weeks continue.

10/6 -Green Bay Packers signed recently released LB Jaylon Smith

The Green Bay Packers have signed former Cowboy LB Jaylon Smith after he was surprisingly released by the Dallas Cowboys Tuesday night. Smith will provide solid depth for the Packers, whose defense has been steadily improving since their week 1 blowout loss to the New Orleans Saints.
