1. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-14)

Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan

-Ending the year as a Heisman candidate for the Michigan Wolverines, the Jaguars will look to add a top edge rusher to pair with young stud DE Josh Allen. Alabama LT Evan Neal seemed to be the favorite to go #1 overall, with the franchise tag being placed on Cam Robinson, it appears the Jaguars will go in a different direction.

  1. Detroit Lions (3-13-1)

Malik Willis, QB, Liberty

-After a great showing at the Senior Bowl, NFL Combine, and Liberty Pro Day, Malik Willis goes #2 in this mock. The Detroit Lions are in a prime position to get their guy and mold his raw talent into a franchise QB. It is becoming more and more evident that a franchise QB is necessary to accomplish any sustained success in the NFL, and the Lions get their guy here at pick #2.

  1. Houston Texans (4-13)

-Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Oregon

-The Houston Texans need to load up on talent. They opt to do so here at pick #3 by selecting Thibodeaux, who some have as their #1 prospect in the draft.

  1. New York Jets (4-13)

-Ikem Ekwonu, OT, NC State

-The New York Jets have not shied away from drafting the athletic freak at the tackle position before, evidenced by their selection of Mekhi Becton a few years ago. Becton hasn’t exactly been the player the Jets were hoping he would be, and it is well known that GM Joe Douglas likes to beef up on the O-Line, so the Jets take another athletic freak here at #4.

  1. New York Giants (4-13)

-Evan Neal, OT, Alabama

-The New York Giants have prioritized improving their offensive line this offseason, signing C John Felicano and G Mark Glowinski. LT Andrew Thomas had a good sophomore season, but the Giants give him a partner in Evan Neal, who new offensive line coach Bobby Johnson, can place on either Daniel Jones’ right or left side.

  1. Carolina Panthers (5-12)

-Kenny Pickett, QB, Pittsburgh

-It has been reported that the Carolina Panthers would be willing to reach at this pick as long as it meant that they would be able to select an offensive tackle. In this case, they decide to take their guy in QB Kenny Pickett. As I mentioned before, QB is too important of a position to pass up on. After not landing Deshaun Watson or Russell Wilson in the trade market, the Panthers opt to get a younger, cheaper option.

  1. New York Giants (Via Chicago) (6-11)

-Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame

-Coming from the Buffalo Bills system, the new regime of GM Joe Schoen and Head Coach Brian Daboll know how important it is to have an elite safety patrolling their secondary, in this case, two of them, with Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer. Here at pick #7, the Giants get a player who some are labeling as a “generational talent”, only falling because of positional value.

  1. Atlanta Falcons (7-10)

-Travon Walker, EDGE, Georgia

-Testing extremely well, Walker has been one of the biggest risers of the 2022 draft class. A team like the Falcons who desperately need improvement on the edge, take Walker here at pick #8, someone who will surely bring an upgrade to their unit.

  1. Seattle Seahawks (Via Denver) (7-10)

-Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State

-With the possibility of LT Duane Brown leaving in free agency, the Seahawks decide to take the best tackle available on the board. Cross has a chance to provide a protection to the blindisde of whoever lines up under center for Seattle during the 2022-2023 season.

  1. New York Jets (Via Seattle) (7-10)

-Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner, CB, Cincinnati

-A player who I think has a chance to go higher than pick #10, Ahmad Garder lands with the Jets in this mock. Scouts have fallen in love with Gardner’s shutdown game, and the Jets give a major upgrade to their secondary with their selection of Gardner here.

  1. Washington Commanders (7-10)

-Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State

-With the acquisition of QB Carson Wentz, the Commanders decide to get a partner in crime for star WR Terry McLaurin. There is certainly a debate for which WR goes first, and in this case Wilson takes that honor and adds support for Carson Wentz.

  1. Minnesota Vikings (8-9)

-Jordan Davis, DT, Georgia

-Even with the additions of Za’Darius Smith and Harrison Phillips, the Vikings decide to beef up their defensive line even more with their selection of Jordan Davis here. Davis is a MONSTER, at 6’6 340 lb, and will offer great upside to whichever team drafts him, in this case, the Vikings.

  1. Houston Texans (Via Cleveland) (4-13)

-Drake London, WR, USC

-The Houston Texans decide to add more talent to their team, in this case on the offensive side of the ball. WR Brandin Cooks is the lone bright spot in their current WR corps, but will have some pressure taken off of him with the selection of the big-bodied, athletic, London.

  1. Baltimore Ravens (8-9)

-Jermaine Johnson, EDGE, Florida State

-The Baltimore Ravens attempted to reunite with edge rusher Za’Darius Smith during this free agency period, but contract negotiations fell through, with Smith signing with the Vikings instead. The Ravens add the talented Johnson to their defensive line unit, and now have a nice pair of young edge rushers for the future in Johnson and Odafe Oweh.

  1. Philadelphia Eagles (Via) Miami (9-8)

-Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU

-Stingley was a projected top 5 pick just a few months ago, but his stock has fallen due to injury concerns. The Eagles stop Stingley’s fall here at pick #15, adding more talent to their secondary, giving Darius Slay Jr a partner at the opposite side of the field.

  1. Philadelphia Eagles (Via Indianapolis) (9-8)

-Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

-The Eagles add more talent to their WR room with their pick of Treylon Burks. Burks is an athletic freak, able to move very fast for his size. Burks also has slot flex and will surely be a versatile weapon for QB Jalen Hurts.

  1. Los Angeles Chargers (9-8)

-Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa

With the recent release of RT Bryan Bulaga, the Chargers now have a hole to fill at that position. They fill that void quickly with the addition of Penning. Prioritizing their defense in free agency, the Chargers add to their offensive line, and now have their tackle duo of the future with Rashawn Slater and Trevor Penning.

  1. New Orleans Saints (9-8)

-Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama

-The Saints have been reported to be in the WR market in both free agency and trade. They have not been able to land any of them yet, but they do so here at pick #18 with the speedy Jameson Williams. Williams, who suffered a torn ACL during the College Football Playoff National Championship, could have been the first WR off of the board, but his injury places him in the hands of the New Orleans Saints.

  1. Philadelphia Eagles (9-8)

-Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah

-LB has been a major need for the Philadelphia Eagles for a long time, and they take Devin Lloyd here at pick #19, who will provide a steady presence in the middle of their defense with insane athletic upside.

  1. Pittsburgh Steelers (9-7-1)

-Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson

-The Pittsburgh Steelers signed CB Levi Wallace in free agency, but they still could use some improvement in their secondary and they get a good player in Booth Jr. Falling slightly due to injury concern, Booth is an aggressive tackler with an attack-first mentality and will provide some major juice to Pittsburgh’s secondary.

  1. New England Patriots (10-7)

-Zion Johnson, OL, Boston College

-The New England Patriots have lost pieces of their offensive line this offseason in Ted Karras and Shaq Mason, so they decide to get a new piece here in Zion Johnson. Johnson has experience at almost every position on the offensive line, which is something that Bill Belichick will surely covet. Zion Johnson will provide flexibility for a Patriots unit that could use some at the moment.

  1. Green Bay Packers (Via Las Vegas) (13-4)

-Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State

After trading away superstar WR Davante Adams and losing Marquez Valdes-Scantling in free agency, the Packers now have a major void at the WR position. Here they add the speedy Dotson, who can play both on the perimeter and in the slot. Dotson has amazing YAC ability and will take some pressure off of Aaron Rodgers.

  1. Arizona Cardinals (11-6)

-Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State

-With the loss of Christian Kirk and possibly A.J. Green in free agency, the Cardinals WR room has been weakened. With the type of spread offense that HC Kliff Kingsbury wants to run, a plethora of WR options is necessary, so the Cardinals take a good one in Olave.

  1. Dallas Cowboys (12-5)

-Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa

-Getting younger and cheaper on the offensive line should be a priority for the Dallas Cowboys in the near future and they do so here by selecting Linderbaum. The Iowa lineman is considered one of the better Center prospects to enter the draft in recent years, but falls in this case due to positional value. The Cowboys beef up their offensive line here by taking a blue chip prospect in Tyler Linderbaum.

  1. Buffalo Bills (11-6)

-Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington

-CB has been one of the positions that the Buffalo Bills have not yet addressed in free agency up to this point, and even if they do add a depth piece, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them look for a CB2 option next to Tre’Davious White. McDuffie is a perfect scheme fit for the Bills defense and will help them improve in an ever growing passing league.

  1. Tennessee Titans (12-5)

-Kenyon Green, OG, Texas A&M

-With the release of veteran guard Rodger Saffold III, the Titans will surely be looking to stay steady on the offensive line. The Titans add a solid interior player in Green here and a cheaper one at that.

  1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (13-4)

-Boye Mafe, EDGE, Minnesota

-The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of the more complete rosters in the NFL, and they add depth to their EDGE group. Jason Pierre-Paul is currently still a free agent so the Buccaneers here look to get younger and cheaper at that position.

  1. Green Bay Packers (13-3)

-David Ojabo, EDGE, Michigan

-Ojabo’s slide stops at pick #29, finding himself with the Green Bay Packers. Ojabo, who was once a projected top-15 pick, tragically tore his achilles at his pro day, which will unfortunately make him fall in the draft. With the loss of Za’Darius Smith, the Packers choose to have Ojabo take a redshirt year to learn behind Preston Smith and Rashan Gary.

  1. Kansas City Chiefs (Via Miami) (12-5)

-Kaiir Elam, CB, Florida

-The Chiefs lost both Mike Hughes and Charvarius Ward in free agency, so they decide to take a CB with a lot of upside in Kaiir Elam. With the influx of talent being added to the AFC West, the Chiefs will have to continue to make upgrades to their defense and their secondary especially.

  1. Kansas City Chiefs (12-5)

-Christian Watson, WR, North Dakota State

-The Chiefs opt to add some more raw talent to their WR corps with their selection of Watson. Watson is athletically gifted for his size, playing as a pure hybrid of size, speed, and agility.

  1. Cincinnati Bengals (10-7)

-Devonte Wyatt, IDL, Georgia

-The Cincinnati Bengals lost Larry Ogunjobi in free agency, so they decide to add some depth to the interior of the defensive line with the addition of Wyatt. Wyatt has championship experience and will add a solid presence for the Bengals.

  1. Detroit Lions (Via LA Rams) (12-5)

-George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue

-The Detroit Lions get somewhat of a steal with Karlaftis falling all the way to to pick #32. The Lions get a player to add to their EDGE depth who will work to become a starter in sure time. Karlaftis has a high motor and will never stop working on a play, something that Dan Campbell and his staff will undoubtedly appreciate.
